We are growing fast and are now looking for a Community Sites Developer to join our Moodle Community team! Fully flexible and working from anywhere in Europe, this ongoing, part time contractor role, requires a time commitment of 12 hours per week.
What your new job can look likeâ¦
As Community Sites Developer, you will work closely with the Moodle Community team and the wider Moodle Community to evaluate and ensure the quality of Moodle plugins.
At Moodle, no two days will ever be the same, but most days in this role usually involve a mix of:
Assessing plugins for functionality, security, and compliance with Moodle’s standards, using an Agile approach.
Building and maintaining quality relationships with the Moodle HQ team and Moodle Community members.
Conducting code reviews to identify and rectify potential bugs and security vulnerabilities to enhance performance.
Champion code quality and adherence to best practices by providing feedback to plugin developers.
Designing and implementing robust test plans and test cases for plugins.
Creating and updating comprehensive documentation for plugin review processes.
Requirements
We’d love to meet youâ¦
Especially if you have:
Demonstrated experience of Moodle theme and code development.
Strong PHP programming skills, along with a solid understanding of HTML, CSS, Javascript and SQL.
Demonstrated experience with Moodle’s architecture, APIs and plugin development framework.
Proven experience in software development, preferably with a focus on Moodle or other learning management systems
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex development concepts for non experts.
A proactive and solutions-focused attitude, and a willingness to share your ideas with the team in a positive and constructive way.
