This position is a hybrid role requiring employees to work from our headquarters location in Seattle, WA every Tuesday and Wednesday, and remote all other days.

The Tech Lead – Network Engineer (AWS) for our Multi Account Architecture in AWS will play a critical role in how we scale and defend ourselves in the Cloud. Your design will not only be the first experience our customers interface with but it will also be the first line of defense to protect our perimeter. Your decisions will directly impact how our system interfaces with the outside world. This is a critical role that is high impact and directly involved with the various entities that makeup Redfin is we unify our subsidiaries under a single front door.
The Role
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the cloud engineering team.
Drive the design, implementation, and support of cloud based Network solutions that enable Redfin to scale its Multi Account Architecture.
Partner with application, platform, and infosec teams to both architect and improve how our systems interface with the Network.
Write, own, and maintain Infrastructure as Code across team repos.
Leverage your deep knowledge of networking and distributed systems to improve Redfins ability to perform while scaling.
About You
You have 5+ years of hands-on cloud platform management experience, preferably in AWS including:
CloudFront, WAF, Shield, VPC, Route53, ELB/ALB, TGW/VGW.
Experienced in cloud platform observability tooling such as CloudWatch and Datadog
You have a deep passion for Infrastructure as Code and can leverage multiple tools such as Terraform, Spacelift, Terraform Cloud, Atlantis or CloudFormation.
You have a deep understanding of distributed systems and how to support the scaling of these systems through infrastructure.
You have 5+ years of experience with Python.

The compensation information is provided in compliance with job posting disclosure requirements in Hawaii, Colorado, New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Washington, California and Washington, DC.
Base Pay Range: $157,500.00 – 209,000.00. Actual base pay will depend on varying circumstances, including the position, location, individual qualifications, market finances, and other operational business needs. Depending on the position, compensation may also include commissions, bonuses, and equity.Potential for quarterly bonuses based on company performance.Potential for merit increases and stock grants based on performance.
