Title: Senior Network Administrator

Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Sr. Network Administrator (VoIP Engineer) to join our team! In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain our Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) systems to ensure seamless, high-quality communication. Your responsibilities will include configuring and optimizing VoIP Networks, troubleshooting issues, ensuring security, and integrating solutions with existing infrasturcture. This role will collaborate with IT Teams to enhance system performance, manage hardware and software updates, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
This role has the opportunity to be on-site, hybrid or remote.
Responsibilities
Responsible for the daily administration of a network and server environment.
Installs, configures, and maintains system software.
Monitors network performance, troubleshoots issues, and deploys solutions.
Documents network issues and events using standard formats.
Plans and implements upgrades, patches, and new applications and equipment installation.
Uses scripting and writes basic programs to automate processes.
Maintains and follows disaster recovery, security, backup, and restore plans.
May evaluate new tools or equipment and perform analysis/feasibility studies to guide decisions on optimizing network performance.
Research technical reference materials for network hardware and software to determine root cause of problems.
Interfaces with vendors to ensure appropriate resolution during network outages or periods of reduced performance.
Consistent exercise of discretion & judgment.
Requires in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge in own job discipline and basic knowledge of related job disciplines.
Solves complex problems.
Works independently, receives minimal guidance.
May lead projects or project steps within a broader project or may have accountability for on-going activities or objectives.
Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.

Qualifications
Associate’s Degree
Equivalent Combination of Relevent Education &/ or Experience
Bachelor’s Degree
Information Systems, Network Administration or related degree
5-7 years experience
Proficient with use of Microsoft Office
Proven experience with network capacity planning, network security principles, and general network management best practices preferred.
Experience with common VoIP systems, including Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Cisco Unity Connection, Cisco Prime Collaboration Provisioning and Cisco Analog Voice Gateway Configuration.
Working technical knowledge of vMware, Microsoft Active Directory, Singlewire InformaCast Advanced Notification, Algo IP Speakers and devices is preferred.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
No or very little travel likely.
