How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
As a Replenishment Buyer you will be responsible for reviewing assigned Locations and Vendors to replenish stock to maintain and improve service levels within established inventory levels and planning guidelines.
This position has a hybrid work arrangement with scheduled days in our downtown Tulsa office combined with days available to work from home, after initial training.
In particular you will:
Execute established Buying Cycle for assigned locations and vendors to review suggested items for purchase using both Blue Yonder and SAP computer systems. This requires good decision-making and organizational skills.
Ability, knowledge and understanding of the buying processes outlined within the hardgoods training documents to make sure Buying Cycles are followed and consistently working to improve processes as needed.
Adhere to the Blue Yonder Day in the Life procedure, to include placing weekly free freight and freight paid orders on time and per standards.
Review of Blue Yonder recommendations for assigned locations.
Review current demand of products in relation to:
Current on hand levels
Past sales history
Future forecasts
Market factors such as current promotions, shortage/excess supply from suppliers, changes of popularity within the marketplace
Ensuring freight minimums are being met to minimize freight expense on Purchase Orders and adding appropriate freight comments when needed based on hardgoods training documents.
Checking and using existing surplus inventory when available.
Identifies problematic suggested purchase quantities, researches, and takes action to both resolve and eliminate future occurrences of the issue. Escalates as necessary.
Works within spending limit restrictions and engages management for approvals on purchases exceeding established limits.
Confirming all purchase orders placed, on time and within set guidelines.
Expediting Purchase Orders and updating information on purchase orders as necessary.
Works with vendors and accounts payables when necessary to resolve invoice discrepancies utilizing the Open Text workflow within established goals.
Assist field personnel in maintaining an adequate supply of resale related items while minimizing cash flow requirements.
Assist field personnel with training on the buying process as required and guide users to adhere to established procedures.
Work with field personnel and buying center management to improve order fulfillment levels to achieve departmental goals.
Review key metrics to ensure departmental goals are achieved.
Communicate frequently with assigned locations and escalate any pertinent issues to management.
Are you a MATCH?
BS/BA in Business, Finance, Accounting preferred or equivalent work experience.
1-2 years of purchasing or inventory management environment a plus.
Proficient in Google suite including Gmail, Sheet, Docs, Slides, And Meet. Microsoft Office including Access, Excel, Word and Outlook would be a plus. Demonstrated ability to utilize SAP or other ERP software highly desired
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all levels of outside vendors, management and field personnel. Strong customer service skills and experience.
Ability to handle multiple tasks, work independently and be detailed-oriented.
Ability to make decisions and follow guidelines.
Ability to handle multiple tasks in busy environment, working independently to resolve issues and achieve results.
Excellent organizational, documentation and follow-up skills. Must have strong attention to detail.
Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions, requesting clarification when needed.
A positive approach and willingness to learn coupled with the ability to work in a team environment.
