Sodexo is hiring a hybrid School Nutrition Database Specialist to join our Western Region in School Services. This is a fulltime, year-round position based out of Lake Washington School District in Kirkland, WA- just east of Seattle. This position is primarily responsible for nutrition database management. We are looking for an individual who shares our passion for advancing the quality of school meal programs and helping students live happier, healthier lives.
This is a partially remote position, working 60% onsite at Lake Washington School District and 40% virtually from a home-based office.
The successful candidate will:
Oversee database management of nutrition information and recipes in adherence to federal and state standards;
Become familiar with school meal program guidelines and support managers with menu changes and substitutions;
Work closely with Sodexo’s K-12 Registered Dietitians and food service operators;
Provide support regarding the proper implementation of Sodexo operating standards and procedures; and/or
Support units and operators in troubleshooting database technology issues.
Is this opportunity right for you? We are looking for candidates who:
have completed coursework in nutrition and/or who have professional experience in the nutrition field;
possess a basic understanding of USDA Child Nutrition Program standards and procedures that are needed to support units through Administrative Reviews (audits), preferred:
have strong organizational skills;
have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels;
have proficiency in computer and technology use; and/or
have a history of working independently with little direction.
