Job Overview
Compose.ly is seeking an entrepreneurial-minded Junior Account Manager to launch their career with our team.
Our Account Management team serves as the front line and main point of contact for our portfolio of clients, ranging from small startups to notable enterprise logos. We help our clients execute their SEO and content marketing strategies through a consultative and value-added approach. Our clients’ success is our success.
The ideal candidate must have a passion to pursue consultative-based client relationship management. You want to gain an understanding of your clients’ goals and advise them about achieving those goals, identify and ease potential pain points before they become problematic, and identify opportunities to grow accounts with value-added services. Your primary focus will be ensuring your clients’ success.
You’ll be responsible for building and nurturing each relationship through strategy-setting, solid execution, and excellent customer service. Your responsibilities will include onboarding new clients, consulting and guiding our clients on their content and SEO strategies, managing and successfully delivering ongoing client projects, monitoring results and adjusting as needed, completing monthly client check-ins, and driving continuous process improvement. We’ll train you on the ins and outs of content marketing and SEO, but prior experience is a huge bonus.

Experience with Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, and Semrush is a plus
Responsibilities
Client Relationships
Evaluate client needs strategically, conduct research across various industries, and devise strategies to achieve client success
Take proactive steps to foster and enhance existing client relationships and ensure retention while identifying avenues for expansion
Employ critical thinking to analyze metrics and offer client recommendations based on insights
Create, execute, and oversee strategic marketing plans encompassing brand development, web initiatives, and digital endeavors
Effectively communicate with both clients and internal teams on matters including brand strategy, on-page SEO, technical SEO, off-page SEO, lead generation, thought leadership, analytics, etc.
Execute projects successfully, adhering to project management best practices to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery
Cultivate positive internal relationships while managing all aspects of projects, including estimates, timelines, and deliverables
Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills to establish rapport with clients. Embrace evolving trends in branding, marketing, design, and technology
Client Communication
Understand and articulate our solution sets and value propositions
Act as a dedicated point of contact for any strategy or project-management inquiries
Set and manage client expectations for project deliverables, timelines, and results
Gather and document required information from clients
Identify and help fulfill clients’ critical goals and target ROI
Consistently assess client satisfaction
Manage account escalations
Process Management
Own client onboarding process
Maintain accurate client data within CRM
Proactively assess client pain points and concerns to minimize churn
Assess urgency/prioritization to ensure project delivery with multiple deadlines
Compensation & Benefits
Compensation includes base + commission with an expected 40/60 split respectively.
