Job Description:

Orange Comet is searching for Roblox game programmers to join our team! We’re bringing the biggest entertainment brands and IPs to content creation platforms such as Roblox, Minecraft, and Fortnite. You will work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary game development team dedicated to delivering imaginative and innovative designs that push the boundaries of what is possible in Roblox. We are seeking passionate and creative candidates who are committed to elevating our digital experiences through professional growth and collaboration to support and enhance the team’s skills and capabilities.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain Roblox games and systems using Lua(u).

Design and develop user interfaces.

Implement secure programming practices.

Collaborate proactively with the team.

Ensure high performance, responsiveness, and quality in all developed features.

Propose and develop improvements to the tools and pipelines.

Troubleshoot and debug issues within the game.

Requirements

Minimum of three years of programming experience in Roblox with Lua(u).

Extensive knowledge of Roblox services, API, and security practices.

Familiarity with professional workflow and tools such as Rojo

Proven ability to create game systems and features from scratch.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Ability to work with a remote team distributed across the world.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience or certifications will also be considered.

This role is 100% remote. Orange Comet HQ located in Burbank, California.

Compensation

The base salary range for a remote position in the United States is $50,000 USD – $150,000* USD + benefits.

*Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
