Job Description:

As the Director of Analytics & Data, you will play a crucial role in helping Catena Media harness the power of data for informed decision-making and strategic planning.

YOUR CHALLENGE:

Develop a Data and Analytics strategy that aligns with the organizations business goals, fostering the continuous growth of our data-driven culture by embracing and implementing industry best practices.

Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand business needs and ensure that the BI initiatives you are leading, support business objectives.

Lead a multi-disciplinary data and analytics function effectively, ensuring the delivery of the BI and analytics strategy.

Work closely with Financial Analysis, Business Operations, Product & Commercial as close stakeholders

Ensure that your team translates multiple data sources into valuable business insights to enable data analysis.

Implement standard, self-service reporting and Generative BI solutions to enable business users to drive decisions.

Liaise with executives and other key stakeholders to define company-wide metrics and identify relevant data sources.

Head the selection and implementation of BI-related solutions.

Oversee the design and implementation of data architectures, data models, data lakes, and data warehouses using an AI & ML first approach.

Define and monitor KPIs to measure the health & efficiency of the function

Oversee and document all actions to correct data discrepancies and ensure data quality.

Continuously assess and improve the performance of Analytics & Reporting solutions, using KPIs, stakeholder feedback, and other appropriate metrics.

Manage relationships with external BI and analytics vendors, including evaluating and negotiating contracts for software and services.

Where necessary work with PMO to implement change management processes to encourage the adoption of BI and analytics solutions across the business.

Work with Information Security to identify and mitigate risks associated with Data Management, Analytics, and reporting.

Apply industry knowledge and best practices.

Keep abreast of industry news and trends.

Any other ad hoc job-related duties as required.

Leadership and team management responsibilities:

Managing team performance effectively through the practicing of ongoing performance management, including conducting performance reviews and regular 1-1 meetings

Leading by example by delivering positive results and being a visible Catena ambassador

Communicating effectively and ensuring information is delivered in a clear and timely manner

Taking ownership of recruitment and selection for your team by working closely with HR and TA teams

Enabling team and individual growth from the induction stage to ongoing learning and development

TO DO IT, YOU WILL NEED:

Strong managerial skills with excellent communication.

Must possess strong communication skills, demonstrating the ability to engage effectively with technical teams while also possessing the capacity to articulate and convey complex technical terms and processes in a clear and understandable manner to stakeholders with limited technical knowledge.

Proven experience in managing BI/Analytics functions at a senior level.

Solid experience in data analysis and reporting (experience within iGaming is a plus)

Background in market research and project management as well as experience gathering requirements from various stakeholders across the business

Hands-on experience with SQL, NoSQL databases, SAS, PowerBI and/or other data visualisation tools (e.g. Tableau)

Experience in cooperating/presenting to C-level and boards.

Understanding of Python and web analytics tools such as GoogleTag Manager and Google Analytics

Outstanding analytical skills coupled with strong organisational abilities

Attention to detail with a problem-solving aptitude.

BSc/BA in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Management or a related field would be a plus
