Job Description:

The National Health Systems Director, Area (West) is responsible for selling, developing, expanding and managing national payers and health care delivery organizations. The Director serves as the primary relationship manager for the Associations relationships with targeted companies, including national payers and health care delivery organizations. This position is a sales director, leading engagement to meet the Associations goals for product sales and revenue, increasing equitable access to treatment and care, improving the quality of care, and full mission engagement through commitments secured with targeted companies. Key responsibilities include leading coordination across functions and markets to achieve these goals.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

35% Serve as the Associations primary contact for 10 to 15 targeted companies, including in the payer industry, to meet the following goals:

Solicit and secure sale of Association products

Meet sales and revenue goals

Secure account commitments to systems change that increase equitable access to treatment and care and improve the quality of care

Secure account commitments to full mission engagement

20% Capitalize on the value of corporate partnerships, to sell and close initiatives to generate revenue for the mission and awareness for the brand. Must cultivate strong relationships by interfacing with executives and day-to-day contacts at multi-billion dollar companies

15% Lead sales and planning of targeted companies for the Alzheimers Association. Set projected outcomes, identify target companies and plans for budgetary needs of the program

15% Partnership responsibilities include writing and negotiating contracts, as well as serving as the liaison between the Association and payer organizations to intake, triage and evaluate external opportunities for the Association to advocate for constituents through partner supporter programs, panels, speaking engagement and advocacy events

15% Lead coordinated engagement across functions and markets, with demonstrated results that contribute to the Associations account goals. Cultivate relationships with key contacts at targeted companies, such as executive leadership and clinical champions and key opinion leaders, and involve them in strategic initiatives such as Association roundtables, advisory groups and ECHO/professional education

Perform other duties as assigned

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

Sales and account management skills

Proven leadership experience, demonstrating the ability to influence and inspire others to achieve results, without direct supervisory authority

Knowledge of payer and health systems operations, business models and priorities, and healthcare payment and policy issues

Knowledge of methods for systems change and quality improvement in health care preferred

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

8 or more years of sales executive or primary sales account manager experience, preferred in the healthcare industry

Demonstrated success in meeting sales goals and outcomes

Bachelors degree, preferred in business or a healthcare-related field

Ability and willingness to travel up to 40% within the assigned territory by car or plane

Position Location: Remote with travel as needed

Full time based on 37.5 hours per week minimum

Position Grade: 511 Exempt – Estimated Annual Salary Range ($120,000-$145,000)

Reports To: Vice President, Health Systems Sales
