About the role:
You will play a vital role in overseeing the Accounts Payable processes for over 200 suppliers. You will be responsible for accurately processing and recording all accounts payable transactions, ensuring timely payments to vendors, and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders. Most importantly, you will contribute to the scalability of the function as we grow. This role demands attention to detail, financial acumen, and excellent communication skills to contribute to the smooth financial operations of the company.
What you’ll do:
Process carrier invoices and ensure they’re reconciled with our systems through our unique shipment references
Assist in carrier onboarding and ensure new carriers understand Ofload process and requirements on payment requirements
Weekly review and approve of I&Cs
Proactively consult with various departments and creditors to resolve quantity and price discrepancies
Handle carriers’ invoice and payment queries with professionalism
Manage staff reimbursements
Monitor and assist with bank details verification via Eftsure
Prepare payment batches for review on a timely basis to meet payment deadlines
Complete month-end tasks as assigned on strict deadlines
Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency
Qualifications and Skills:
At least 2 years demonstrated accounts payable experience
Tertiary/Post secondary school qualifications in Accounting or equivalent
Ability to use Microsoft productivity software such as Excel
