About the Role

Title: Senior Global Benefits & Leave Administrator

Location: Remote United States

Job Description:

Ensures compliance of benefits programs, utilizing knowledge of benefits legislation (COBRA, FMLA, HIPAA, PPACA, ADA and others) by staying up to date on domestic and international rules and regulations impacting benefits programs.

Maintains and updates employee, leave of absence and benefits-related records and files.

Coordinates and implements regular benefits and leave of absence processing and resolution, including enrollments, terminations, claims, COBRA, FMLA and disability.

Advises and informs employees of the details of the company’s benefit/leave programs including presenting to our new employees or meeting virtually as needed.

Resolves benefit and leave-related issues and responds to queries and requests in a timely manner.

Evaluates the efficiency, effectiveness and value of current benefit plans/programs and makes recommendations for improvement.

Collaborates with payroll and ensures that employer contributions and payroll deductions are processed accurately and in a timely manner.

Responsible for the coordination of payment for benefits billings, including reconciling amounts, running standard reports, and obtaining required approvals.

Works with the benefits broker and insurance companies to better understand our benefits coverage, services, and costs.

Reviews various reports and file feeds and takes action appropriately and timely.

Documents and maintains administrative procedures for benefit and leave of absence processes.

Reviews/researches/updates benefits communications, related documents, and reference materials for use by both internal and external audiences.

Evaluates and assesses new approaches to current processes and issues.

Maintains confidentiality of sensitive employee information at all times.

Who You Are & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in HR with a minimum of 5 years of solid full-service benefits and leave experience in both the US AND international (Canada, UK, Eastern Europe, Asia/Pacific Islands).

CEBS, SPHR, PHR or other relevant certifications preferred.

Solid understanding of ERISA, FMLA and other relevant policies and regulations for programs and plans including retirement, health, voluntary benefits, state specific leave and worker’s compensation.

Experience with benefits administration/set-up in ADP or a similar HRIS platform.

Proficient in MS Office with advanced Excel skills.

Demonstrated strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Experience working directly with brokers and insurance companies.

Strong analytical capabilities.

Experience with project or program management.

Demonstrated confidence, credibility, and good judgment.

Experience analyzing and leveraging data to influence business decisions.

Ability to collaborate across a large, complex organization and create innovative, successful programs and solutions.

Demonstrated ability to absorb, analyze, and understand new information, technologies and practices quickly.

Compensation

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base salary range for this position is $76,600 – $114,800, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. This position is also eligible for an annual corporate bonus of 10%. If you are hired at Payscale, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors – we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider any internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth. We also offer a generous compensation and benefits package (more information on benefits listed below).
