Detailed Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and secure microservices and APIs using Python (Django/Flask) and Go.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Design, QA) to translate product requirements into technical specifications and deliver innovative features.
Manage and optimize our cloud infrastructure on AWS, focusing on efficiency, cost, and high availability (using tools like Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform).
Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous integration, deployment, and quality assurance.
Conduct thorough code reviews, ensuring code quality, maintainability, and adherence to engineering best practices.
Debug and resolve complex production issues across various services and environments with a focus on root cause analysis.
Contribute to technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and knowledge sharing across the global engineering organization.

Compensation & Benefits
Starting Pay: $90,000 to 120,000per year (USD).

Requirements & Qualifications
 

Mandatory Requirements:
Must be proficient in English (exceptional written and asynchronous communication skills are critical).
Must have a minimum of 1 years of professional software development experience, specifically with backend/platform systems.
Must be available for occasional synchronous team meetings and critical production support, generally aligning to US Pacific Time (PT) business hours (9 AM – 5 PM PT).
Must have a dedicated, suitable, self-provided workspace and meet specific technical requirements.
We are hiring 15 core candidates for this role during this hiring cycle.
Technical Requirements (Critical):
Expertise in at least one modern backend language, preferably Python (or Go/Java/Node.js).
Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and relational/NoSQL databases.
Proficiency with Git for version control.
Stable, high-speed internet connection and a reliable workstation.
Not Supported: Candidates without strong demonstrable experience in scalable platform development.

Training & Schedule
Onboarding: 3 weeks of paid, self-paced virtual onboarding focusing on the codebase, architecture, and team structure.
Onboarding includes mandatory one-on-one virtual meetings with key stakeholders across various time zones.
Attendance and proactive engagement are required.
Post-Onboarding Schedule:
Primarily an asynchronous and flexible schedule emphasizing autonomous work and outcomes.
Must complete projects on time and consistently deliver high-quality, fully tested code.
Mandatory synchronous scrum and planning check-ins during PT business hours will be required for alignment.
