Job Description Summary

The Corporate Manager of Guest Experience sets the tone for Sonesta’s Culture of Caring. We expect leaders to focus on creating amazing moments for guests and team members and dig deep to find ways to create success for their team.

Sonesta directors are charged with providing strategic vision, ensuring tactical execution, and actively managing their department to achieve the company’s revenue and profitability goals and objectives.

The ideal candidate has a passion for building and motivating teams that achieve results. Sonesta directors are guest-focused (both internal and external) and achievement-oriented leaders.

In this role, you will be responsible for driving innovation and excellence in our food and beverage offerings across all our properties. You will work closely with the culinary and operations teams to develop and implement innovative concepts, menus, and programs that enhance the guest experience and drive revenue growth.

This role is 3 days in our Corporate Newton Office and 2 days remote.

Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Serve as the Medallia guest satisfaction champion, leveraging feedback data and insights to drive continuous improvement in food & beverage offerings and guest experience. Collaborate with cross functional teams to address areas of opportunity and enhance overall guest satisfaction scores.

Manage the implementation of new food and beverage programs, including menu rollouts, staff training, and marketing initiatives.

Conduct regular research and analysis to evaluate the performance of existing food and beverage programs and identify areas for improvement.

Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, operations, and procurement, to ensure seamless execution of initiatives.

Provide leadership and support to the food and beverage team, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Lead the development and execution of innovative food and beverage concepts that align with Sonesta Hotels’ brand standards and market trends.

Collaborate with the culinary team to create enticing menus that appeal to a diverse range of guests while maintaining cost efficiency and quality.

Identify emerging food and beverage trends and incorporate them into our offerings to ensure we remain competitive in the market.

Establish and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and industry partners to source high-quality ingredients and products.

Monitor industry regulations and food safety standards to ensure compliance across all food and beverage operations.

Act as a brand ambassador for Sonesta Hotels, representing our food and beverage offerings at industry events and conferences.

Managing your Team:

Coach and train the Food and Beverage leadership team and hold them accountable for their performance. Ensure they do the same for their respective teams.

Ensure all F&B employees receive proper training applicable to their position and career aspirations in accordance with company policy and/or local laws.

Ensure employees are treated fairly and equitably.

Coach team by providing specific feedback to improve knowledge, skills, and performance.

Establish and maintain open, collaborative relationships with direct reports and the entire Food & Beverage team. Ensures direct reports do the same for their teams.

Leading with Passion:

Utilize and collaborate with resources across different departments and corporate offices.

Additional Job Information/Anticipated

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, Business Administration, or related field.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in food and beverage management, with a focus on innovation and program development.

Strong understanding of culinary trends, market dynamics, and guest preferences.

Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.

Proven leadership ability, with experience leading cross-functional teams and driving results.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.

Certification in food safety and sanitation (e.g., ServSafe) preferred.

Willingness to travel as needed.

Pay Range

$85,000 to $100,000
