Job Summary and Qualifications

The Nutrition Informatics Specialist plays a crucial role in programming and managing the patient services software for the division. This entails the development, management, and maintenance of menus, recipes, and ingredients as well as the use of them in the patient services technology platform. This role extends to various duties such as enhancing contract compliance, increasing purchasing optimization, and maintaining open communication and oversight with facility Food and Nutrition Services (FNS) leadership ensuring proper usage of the technology.

What you will do in this role:

Serves on the Division Core Team for FNS Software Infrastructure development and support.

Maintains division(s) platform for FNS Patient Software Systems.

Works directly with Corporate RD Nutritional Systems Manager to ensure FNS software system is aligned with division and enterprise goals and initiatives.

Develops, maintains, revises, and programs standardized divisional menu.

Manages and programs all item conversions.

Analyzes menu to ensure nutritionals are in line with federal and state guidelines for all diets and menus served.

Assists in training super users and end users, as needed, in using software systems.

Collaborates with division EHR team to ensure information from EHRs flows properly to patient services technology.

Produces division-level reports for analysis by division leadership.

What qualifications you will need:

Bachelor’s degree in Foodservice Management, Nutrition, Healthcare Administration, or similar. Required

Master’s degree in Foodservice Management, Nutrition, Healthcare Administration, or similar. Preferred

Minimum 2 years’ experience with food service software in a healthcare setting. Required

Knowledge of food service activities and duties, terminology, and nomenclature. Required
