As a Infrastructure Architect Sr within PNC’s Technology organization, the preferred candidate will reside and work in one of our Technology hub locations: Pittsburgh, PA; Strongsville, PA or Dallas, TX or Birmingham, AL or Phoenix, AZ, Responsibilities require time in the office with the opportunity for remote work at the manager’s discretion.

This Infrastructure Architect Sr position will be part of the ServiceNow Platform Strategy team which includes platform management, engineering, architecture, and governance functions. This role will primarily be focused on the governance pillar establishing and managing the standards to which our architecture function operates. This includes:

Documenting job aids, procedures, design templates, and patterns for the ServiceNow architecture practice

Collaborating with stakeholders across the team and external partners such as risk, enterprise architecture, and the business office for governance of the ServiceNow platform

Enforcing governance standards, establishing metrics, and risk appetite for approval by the ServiceNow Steering Committee and Technical Governance Board

Prepare process maps and identify risk events and compensating controls for the ServiceNow Architecture and Governance functions.

Review and consult on engineering standards for product documents, design specifications, and context diagrams.

This role is expected to be a senior leader on the team that will work autonomously and provide direction to others in alignment with the department’s objectives, goals, and benefit metrics. The position is in office limited to a PNC technical hub location (ServiceNow Strategy and Product teams have members in all technical hub locations).

Job Description

Defines design patterns for a company’s common technology architecture structure.

Develops and monitors the organization’s technology architecture and plays a leading role in the vision and development of the company’s future technology.

Ensures infrastructure designs and upgrades are made in accordance with established standards, patterns, policies, procedures and software licensing agreements.

Identifies and establishes best practices for technology architecture, while providing expert advice on core infrastructure initiatives.

Interprets technology requirements; designs technology architecture and drives the adoption.
