Job Description:
This position is responsible for supporting programs/initiatives, conducting research, performing analysis, tracking metrics, and providing recommendations within the complex work area of the Business Services Unit (BSU) in the Collection Services Bureau (CSB). Primary duties of this position include the following: (1) oversees the research, analysis, documentation, and process improvements for BSU programs and initiatives including Third Party Withholding, State Agency Collections (2) compiles, analyzes, and reconciles BSU monthly transactions, metrics, and reports, in coordination with other CSB teams and Collections partners, and (3) maintains, implements and/or evaluates related training and documentation to ensure program quality, productivity, and adherence to internal/contractual controls.
The employee in this position is a member of the Services Management Division team and, as such, participates in special projects, gives presentations, attends meetings on behalf of the Division, and works with peers and managers to resolve issues. This employee contributes to the continuous improvement of CSB by participating on committees as directed, tracking and aligning metrics, and assisting in the development and implementation of strategic goals.

Two years of professional experience, including one year of experience equivalent to the intermediate (10) level in state service.Departmental Analyst 9 – P11
Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school and the equivalent of at least two years of full-time active-duty experience at or above the E-6 level in the uniformed services may be substituted for the education requirement.

Hybrid Remote Work. This position is eligible to work remotely on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays, and must work onsite Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Selected candidate must have a safe and appropriate designated workspace or workstation for performance of work and secure and sufficient internet access of commercial cable or wireless broadband with minimum speeds of 25 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload.
Federal Tax Information (FTI). This position has a FTINPRINT sub-class code. The sub-class code indicates the position has access to Federal Tax Information (FTI) and requires passing of a fingerprint-based background check per IRS Publication 1075.
Work must be performed in the state of Michigan. If you currently reside outside of Michigan, you must relocate to Michigan to perform the duties of this position prior to being appointed. Relocation expenses are not reimbursed.
