Position Summary:
The Accounts Receivable Specialist performs various accounting and bookkeeping functions to support the Finance Department. This position enters daily cash deposits into the ERP accounting system, responds to inquiries, research unapplied payments, prepares and executes financial transactions, and maintains account records. This position reports to the Assistant Controller.
The firm has one available position in either Austin, TX; Atlanta, GA; Cleveland, OH; Dover, OH or Portland, OR. Some positions at Novogradac may be open to remote or hybrid work arrangements depending on business needs. Please discuss available options with your recruiter.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Respond to and resolve all Accounts Receivable inquiries from clients, employees, and Partners
Review unapplied payments on a recurring basis
Prepare and enter daily deposits into the ERP accounting system
Maintain and resolve support queue inquiry tickets related to Accounts Receivable
Prepare and maintain accurate records of refunds and late fee and invoice write-off adjustments
Prepare and submit documentation for accounts to send to collections
Process client credit card payments
Follow-up on client accounts that have non-deliverable email addresses
Additional ad hoc duties and projects as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Strong computer skills, including solid skill in the Microsoft Office suite, in particular with Excel, as well as experience using accounting software systems
Sound understanding of financial concepts and ability to perform calculations for a variety of transactions
Superior organizational and follow-through skills, performing work accurately with strong attention to detail
Ability to meet deadlines and effectively prioritize a fast-paced and varied workload, effectively manage a variety of concurrent and shifting priorities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate or bachelor’s degree, preferably in accounting plus 1-3 years of related accounts receivable or payable experience and/or appropriate balance of education and work experience. Associate degree or college level coursework in accounting is preferred. Prior experience working in a professional services firm a plus.

Compensation: $46,000 to $51,000 depending on experience.
