We are looking for a self-driven, analytical and creative organic search & growth marketer to join us as SEO Manager, to lead and implement scalable SEO initiatives for 10+ OpenTable domains, and improve organic search traffic and revenue through organic landing pages!

This is a specialised role with global scope and perfect for someone who prefers to be a self-starter, who’s data-obsessed, user-obsessed, open-minded for testing, iterating, optimising, who’s built/rebuilt things from scratch with measurable results, and who has a genuine love for finding growth opportunities from data, translating into insights and deliverables that will help OpenTable rank on search engines, drive successful organic sessions and conversions.

The ideal candidate brings extensive technical, on-page and off-page SEO experience from the consumer tech industry, has a strong understanding of internationalisation and localisation, understands the challenges of changing organic search landscape, customer journey and booking behaviour, and can analyse, hypothesise, implement tests, measure and scale growth drivers.

You thrive in an entrepreneurial and collaborative environment. You’re quick-acting, diligent to details, independent but also able to work through stakeholder requirements with a positive and flexible demeanour. Organization, ability to handle feedback and ‘make-it-work’ is critical.

Responsibilities

You will own, develop and implement impactful SEO strategies with measurable results.

Be accountable for your projects and the tracking, monitoring and reporting of progress and results.

Use all available data to analyse opportunities, quantify performance and supervise competitors – suggesting tactical changes and formulating strategies based on your analysis.

Build logical improvement & implementation plans for global SEO page templates; optimise and refine site architecture and internal linking structure; plan scalable content production strategies.

Find opportunities to continually test and iterate on landing page templates, modules and content to improve both user experience (e.g. conversion, bounce) and SERP performance (e.g. CTR, rankings).

Coordinate your efforts with key stakeholders in Product, Engineering, and across the global organisation to set and implement SEO projects across a growing number of page templates and modules.

Work closely with the development team to ensure the best results for key projects – setting clear briefs and requirements, testing schedules and delivering post-implementation analysis back to the wider team and business.

Work with Content & Market teams to ensure market projects and campaigns are optimised to support SEO and local domain growth where appropriate and to help find opportunities for micro-level content, campaigns and link strategies.

Required Skills

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in marketing, analytics, or related fields.

6+ years of marketing experience with in-depth SEO expertise in the consumer tech industry (preferably with an in-house team). Other product management, digital marketing, data analysis or software engineering experience is a plus.

A strategic understanding of large-scale SEO: projects that scale globally and bring measurable results.

Excellent quantitative skills – fluency with numbers and data analysis is critical.

Comfortable with responsibility, and able to develop a project independently once goals are set.

Experienced in collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to ensuring results are aligned to requested technical specs and needed timelines, and then iterate and optimise based on performance.

Comprehensive understanding of significant search engine updates, and the logical extension and application of these to international, large-scale websites. Self-motivated in following the latest developments in the SEO industry with a view to testing for yourself to establish validity and impact.

Understanding of modern front-end markup (principally HTML and CSS). Proficiency in landing page prototyping tools is a strong plus.

Ability to optimally work on multiple projects at once!

Ability to work against timelines in a fast-paced, high-productivity environment.

Excellent verbal and written presentation skills. Fluency in English at a native proficiency – fluency in one additional European language is a plus (preferably German).
