What will your typical day look like?
As part of the Infrastructure and Real Estate Projects team, our Senior Advisors provide advisory services to help our clients define, assess, plan and undertake major initiatives. They manage the scope, cost, schedule, quality, risk, communications and reporting for large, complex projects. Through leading practices in governance, people, process, technology and data, our professionals strengthen our clients’ infrastructure project frameworks to mitigate risks associated with their initiatives.
You will participate in establishing relationships between key private and public sector accounts with a focus on the Quebec market and Quebec-based infrastructure and real estate projects.
Our professionals provide consulting services, provide independent oversight of initiatives through project or contract reviews, evaluations or audits, and advise our clients’ senior management and boards as they proactively strategize and execute large infrastructure projects. They help our clients prepare for the future, including their digital strategy initiatives, implementing analytics and using their data to improve overall performance. They also support service offerings and business development opportunities and initiatives.
Team Information
Our Infrastructure Projects and Real Estate team is comprised of approximately 120 professionals nationwide who work in a dynamic and rewarding environment. We support public and private sector clients in a variety of fields, such as infrastructure, public transit, nuclear energy, mining, aerospace and aviation.
We provide clients with practical solutions and add value at every stage of their project lifecycle in the highly competitive, multi-billion dollar global engineering, procurement and construction sectors. We have extensive experience as consultants, project and program managers, project planners and controllers, architects, engineers, construction managers, contract managers, progress controllers, and other related management functions. We draw on decades of global industry experience that complements Deloitte’s enviable reputation as a global professional services firm and employer of choice.
Enough about us, let’s talk about you
We are looking for candidates with the following experience and skills:
Three to six years of experience in consulting or project management services, including project planning and project controls, and coordination of infrastructure projects or programs ranging from $100 million to billions;
Experience or skills in engineering or architecture or related experience in project management, construction management and project controls;
Experience in carrying out consulting service mandates related to infrastructure projects for public or private sector clients;
Demonstrated excellence in critical thinking, problem solving, communication (verbal and written) and analytical skills;
Demonstrated experience in PMI knowledge areas and process sets, including managing projects from start to finish;
Ability to contribute to and assume responsibility for planning, scheduling, estimating and risk analysis activities for large and complex engineering and infrastructure projects;
Experience in project controls (cost, schedule, risk and scope) and earned value management, including developing effective reports and dashboards for management;
Experience in work planning, developing and reviewing schedules, and performing root cause analysis based on best practices;
Experience in data cleaning, writing analysis reports and developing service offerings;
Knowledge of related standards for project and program management (e.g. PMI or AACEi), including experience with tools related to project controls for cost, schedule and risk, such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, ARM/Risk Analyzer;
Experience with commonly used project management information systems and technology solutions (e.g. Ecosys, Kahua, Unifier or PRISM) an asset;
Other assets: PMP title, certifications such as ing., ICÃC or RICS as well as expertise in certified value engineering or value engineering;
Due to the nature of the role requiring interactions with national and global clients, bilingualism in French and English is required for this position in Montreal.
Total compensation
The salary range for this position is $58,000 to $106,000. Some individuals may be eligible for our bonus program. Deloitte focuses on fairness and competitiveness when it comes to compensation.
