Role description:

The Credit and Collections manager has oversight of the credit, billing, collection, and cash application functions for Ardagh Glass Packaging – North America.

Responsibilities:

Plan, evaluate, implement, and continuously improve all aspects of credit, billing, collection, and cash application functions and processes

Drive KPI improvements, reduction in non-compliance, and process efficiency

Ensure professional relationships are established and maintained with both internal and external customers

Work with internal leadership to respond to credit and collection concerns with existing and potential customers

Direct interaction with selected customers in resolving receivables delinquencies

Participate in internal and external audits, SOX compliance, and evidencing month-end tasks

Conduct a risk assessment for new customers; approve and extend credit within the Local Authority Matrix (LAM)

Minimum skills / qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field

Five (5) years of relative experience in business-to-business transactions

Five (5) years of experience managing and developing others

Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables and v-lookups)

Preferred skills / qualifications:

Prior experience working for a manufacturing company

Prior experience with SAP

Experience with UAT and system implementations/upgrades

NACM certification
