Accounting Manager

Location: Ada, MI

$75,000 – $92,000

Job Description:

CFS has partnered with a growing company that’s looking to hire an Accounting Manager. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily, monthly, and annual operations for the centralized accounting functions.

You will develop and implement systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting financial information, and will provide support for the Controller and CFO and other leaders throughout the organization.

Accounting Manager Responsibilities:

Manage and oversee all operations of the centralized accounting department.

Month and year-end close (1099’s, Year-End Adjustments, Etc.)

Management of general ledger

High-level review and reconciliation of AR, AP, and payroll

Supervise 2 direct reports that manage AP for all communities including invoice review, approval, and payment.

Preparation of monthly/annual financial statements for all communities and corporate/consolidated entity

Fixed asset management

ACH Batch payment processing

Company credit card administration

Assist in debt management

Coordination of annual audit

Other duties as assigned

Accounting Manager Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field highly preferred.

4+ years of accounting experience required.

1+ years of experience leading and mentoring a team

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are required.

Strong ability to prioritize projects and tasks, while maintaining high attention to detail.

Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.

Ability to prepare, evaluate and understand financial statements and to identify key metrics.

Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style.
