POSITION SUMMARY:
Blue Acorn iCi’s Digital Solutions team is currently looking to hire an experienced contract (6 – 8 months) AEM Technical Lead. The Technical Lead will deliver complex content management solutions to customers and be able to work effectively both as an individual, and as part of a team that is led by a Project Manager. They will participate in the implementation of a large enterprise AEM initiatives and will be responsible for the design and hands-on development of web applications using the AEM platform, including, but not limited to, designing and developing site structure, custom components, custom workflows, object model designs (Java APIs), implementation strategy, and unit testing.
The AEM Technical Lead provides oversight and technical project management to ensure quality of work performed. Aids in team system setup, code reviews, knowledge transfer, mentoring, and leadership in challenging project tasks. The Technical Lead is also responsible for helping to bridge the business and technical gaps on a project by working with the Business Systems Analyst, Project Manager, and external stakeholders to best understand the project environment, constraints, and business goals.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop, implement, and configure web content management solutions using AEM and technologies such as Java, HTML/DHTML, XML, JavaScript, and web services
Assist clients in achieving strategic objectives through technology solution implementation
Setup and configuration of AEM development environments
Setup and configuration of AEM Author and Publish instances and ensuring all code works in both environments
Setup and configuration of dispatcher or proxy to run in front of AEM
Translating business requirements into technical details relevant to AEM
Ensure quality of code is high for themselves and other team members
Designing reusable AEM components for authoring content
Understand the client’s technical environment and how they use technology to provide the best, focused advice
Provide input into estimating engagement activities and execute engagements following the Agile methodology including SCRUM
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science and/or equivalent experience in the development industry
3+ years of web content management system experience working with one or more CMS packages, including Adobe Experience Manager version 6.0 or above (version 6.5 a plus)
Web portal back-end development experience
Strong Java/J2EE/JSP experience รขยย minimum of 3 years developing large system applications
Working knowledge and understanding of the following: JCR, Apache Sling, Apache Felix, OSGi, REST, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, JSON, HTML, CSS
Ability to lead technical teams of 2-6 in size and drive technical direction
Ability to juggle multiple projects while meeting stringent deadlines
PREFERRED SKILLS & TECHNOLOGIES:
Speak and write for industry conferences and forums to establish the company’s technical expertise as a world-class implementer with the ARM space
AEM Developer or Architect certification
Additional technical certifications a plus
Experience with data migration and/or AEM upgrades
Experience with all technical aspects of an AEM project including (but not limited to) environment setup, code base creation, components, templates, OSGi configuration, dispatcher setup and config, and code deployments
The US average base salary range for this full-time position is $100,000 – $130,000 + benefits. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations, but they are subject to change based on the following factors: role, experience level, education/certification, job-related skills, and working location. Please note that some states within the US have pay/hiring laws that may affect the salary range listed above.
