Position Overview:
Panorama Education seeks an experienced and highly skilled Strategic Finance Manager to drive strategic financial planning, decision support, and pricing analysis across the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in professional services (2 to 4 years banking or consulting post MBA) or 7-8 years of extensive FP&A and business partnering experience. This role will report directly to the Senior Director of Strategic Finance.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning and Analysis:
Own company operating model and long term planning
Conduct comprehensive financial analysis to evaluate business performance, identify trends, and uncover opportunities for improvement
Monitor key financial metrics and indicators, providing detailed insights into variances and recommending corrective actions as needed
Strategic Planning and Decision Support:
Provide financial guidance and scenario analysis to support business initiatives
Lead analysis and initiatives across pricing and packaging for Panorama
Provide financial guidance and scenario analysis to support business initiatives, investments, and resource allocation decisions.
Assess the financial impact of proposed strategies, projects, and investments, offering recommendations to optimize returns and mitigate risks.
Business Partnership and Stakeholder Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across departments, acting as a trusted advisor on financial matters
Work closely with operational teams to understand their challenges, objectives, and opportunities, providing financial expertise to assist in problem-solving and decision-making
Serve as a liaison between finance and other business functions, ensuring alignment on financial goals and priorities
Strategy and corporate development:
Contribute to Panoramaâs growth through new investments, partnerships, and strategic initiatives
Drive initiatives to improve company performance through data-driven insights and analysis
Qualifications:
Bachelorâs degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or relevant professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) preferred
2+ years post MBA in professional services or 7-8 years of experience in financial planning, analysis, and business partnering roles
Ability to operate effectively with ambiguity and varied data quality
Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data, identify trends, and generate actionable insights
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization
Strategic mindset with a focus on driving business performance and adding value through financial expertise and collaboration
Highly proficient in financial modeling, forecasting techniques, and spreadsheet software (Excel/Google Sheets)
Demonstrated leadership abilities, including project management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Experience with financial systems/software, especially Adaptive Planning and NetSuite a plus
Salary:
The starting base salary for this role is $153,000-$170,000. Actual offers will depend on experience, skills, and location.
The âBase Salaryâ range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this position across all US locations. The determination of this anticipated Base Salary range involves the consideration of many factors in making compensation decisions including but not limited to: unique skill sets, experience, training, performance, licensure and certifications, as well as other business and organizational needs. Our anticipated Base Salary determination is just one component of Panoramaâs competitive total rewards strategy that also includes annual bonus or commission awards, equity awards, as well as other region-specific health and welfare benefits.
