The Senior Compensation Manager leads the design, management, and administration of comprehensive compensation programs for Brother USA, while providing consultative support to the Americas subsidiaries. This role leads all aspects of salary structures, bonuses, and merit increases, conducts market benchmarking, and ensures alignment with business goals and market practices. Key priorities include developing innovative policies, and providing subject-matter guidance on pay equity, job evaluations, and executive compensation. Additionally, the role drives organizational initiatives such as integrating compensation systems, improving analytics, and optimizing processes to attract, retain, and engage top talent while maintaining regulatory adherence and organizational equity.
What you’ll do
Compensation Plan Management
Lead the design, execution, and administration of compensation programs, including multi-tier salary structures, variable incentive plans, and executive compensation packages.
Establish external compensation equity and assess market attractiveness by defining the labor market, identifying benchmark jobs, selecting competitor organizations, analyze pay surveys, and related data to determine the market pricing and develop strategic frameworks for pay alignment across diverse roles and geographies.
Architect and maintain dynamic pay structures, recommending structural realignments based on market shifts, organizational changes, and future workforce needs.
Establish internal job equity by comparing non-benchmark to benchmark jobs along with company wide internal leveling; collaborate to develop appropriate salary levels for new positions.
Maintain pay decision-making guidelines by writing and updating pay policies and procedures.
Compensation Strategy
Craft and roll out new and revised compensation programs and corollary documentation to meet the companies’ objectives and industry leading practices.
Assess the value of existing compensation policies, guidelines and procedures recommending plan revision as well as new plans that are cost-effective and consistent with compensation trends and corporate objectives; coordinatea implementation and provide guidance accordingly.
Lead total rewards strategy and programs that improve the Company’s ability to support and engage our employees, and adhere to company guidelines and applicable government regulations by analyzing and identifying compensation trends.
Develop initiatives to improve compensation processes through automation, data integration, and the deployment of analytics.
Formulate long-term objectives for compensation programs, such as strategic talent retention initiatives, and global considerations for an Americas workforce.
Compensation Plan Compliance
Ensure organizational consideration of merit-raise and incentive guidelines by comparing recommended pay raises and incentives with budget; communicating supervisors in the event of variances.
Provide advice to corporate staff on pay decisions, policy and guideline interpretation, and job evaluation, including the design of creative solutions to specific compensation-related programs. Counsel employees on compensation questions and issues.
Work with colleagues to understand FLSA designations for various roles in compliance with federal and state regulations.
About our ideal candidate
Education
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in HR, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
Experience
8+ years of demonstrated experience being progressively responsible for broad-based compensation including salary planning, market pricing, range development, incetive plan administration and design (including sales plans)
3+ years leading people or teams – Preferred
2+ years working with compensation systems and HRIS – Preferred
Licenses & Certifications
Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) – Preferred
Professional Human Resources (PHR or SHRM-CP) – Preferred
Other Skills, Knowledge, & Abilities
Strong analytical skills and critical thinker able to define and solve complex problems quickly
Knowledge of relevant government laws and regulations related to compensation programs (e.g., FLSA, Equal Pay Act, Title VII, ADA, etc.)
Demonstrated ability to team with other departments and subject-matter experts to deliver collaborative and successful outcomes on complicated issues. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with business and technical stakeholders at all levels, including executive management
Clear, concise, professional and effective verbal and written communication skills, including the demonstrated ability to prepare and deliver presentations in formal and informal settings
Strong business orientation and the ability to understand business issues and their interrelationship with compensation
PayFactors Survey tool – Preferred
HRIS Compensation Modules (using Workday today; implementing Ceridian Dayforce in Fall 2025) – Preferred
Additional details for this role
This role will be a hybrid role. Subject to business needs, employees may work remotely up to two days per week. Assigned office days will be determined by managers. #LI-Hybrid
The annual salary (or hiring) range for this position is $150,000 – $160,000 per year
Starting salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location, and alignment with market data.
This position is eligible to participate in the relevant Brother variable pay incentive plan(s). Applicable bonus awards are discretionary and contingent upon 1) achievement of your individual objectives and 2) Brother achieving its corporate and business-level objectives

About Where We Work
Brother’s corporate headquarters for the Americas is in Bridgewater, NJ, across from the Bridgewater Commons Mall. This location houses key corporate functions, including HR, legal, finance, IT, and supply chain, and a significant presence of our business unit leadership and marketing teams. Our manufacturing and distribution facility in Bartlett, TN spans an impressive 1.5 million square feet – equivalent to 26 football fields – and is located on Brother Boulevard. In addition to the distribution center operations team, this facility hosts several other departments, including our customer service group. Brother also has employees based in other locations, such as Westminster, CO, where many of our marketing and product engineering team members from the mobile solutions division operate, as well as our distribution centers in Richmond, VA and Perris, CA. Additionally, our outside sales teams work remotely within their territories, staying geographically close to the accounts they support to ensure they are always “at your side” for our customers.
