A Snapshot of Your Day

As the Project Environmental, Health and Safety Manager in Projects (EHSMiP), you will be at the forefront of implementing Siemens Energy’s EHS policy and Zero Harm Program. Your role will be pivotal in supporting the project execution business across various phases, ensuring compliance with internal and external rules and regulations, and mitigating EHS-related hazards and risks. You will collaborate with project and site management teams to plan, implement, and monitor EHS procedures and rules, report relevant KPIs, and drive continuous improvement. While primarily office-based as part of the project management team, occasional business trips to construction sites will be necessary.

How You’ll Make an Impact

Provide EHS input for tenders/bids.

Identify and integrate EHS requirements into agreements.

Develop and implement project-specific health, safety, and environmental plans.

Ensure vital EHS permits and certificates are obtained.

Report EHS performance and support data collation.

Guide and support the site EHS team.

Conduct risk assessments and review contractor EHS documentation.

Evaluate contractor EHS performance and provide feedback.

Investigate incidents and implement corrective measures.

Analyze EHS statistics to identify trends and promote standard methodologies.

What You Bring

A Bachelor’s degree in environmental, chemical, or safety engineering, business management, operations management, or a related field.

At least 3 years of experience in occupational safety and/or environmental management. Those with more experience may be considered for a higher role.

Proficiency in incident investigation and root cause analysis methodologies.

Hands-on experience in industrial and/or construction site environments.

A solid understanding of environmental laws and regulations (preferred).

Experience working on global projects and/or within interdisciplinary teams (preferred).

Technically savvy with experience and ability to quickly learn technology systems

Relevant OSHA Safety Certificates.

Willingness to travel up to 20-30% domestic

If not already located in the Raleigh-Durham area, the candidate must be willing to relocate

Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
