Our client is an innovative manufacturing organization and they are seeking a Senior Accountant â Revenue Recognition to join their team.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$95k â $112k plus 12% Bonus
Position Overview:
The Senior Accountant â Revenue Recognition is responsible for the Company’s revenue accounting function within the local business services and revenue organization.
Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant â Revenue Recognition:
Perform month-end close activities.
Review and analyze customer contracts to determine appropriate revenue recognition treatment in compliance with ASC 606.
Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities related to revenue recognition, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
Prepare and review monthly SOX controls.
Qualifications for the Senior Accountant â Revenue Recognition:
2 â 3 years of recent revenue recognition accounting work experience along with demonstrated general accounting work experience.
Experience in a publicly traded company.
Demonstrated technical revenue accounting knowledge of US GAAP and specifically ASC 606.
Experience with SAP or a similar financial accounting system.
Experience with BPC or a similar financial reporting tool (i.e. Hyperion, Cognos) desirable.
Strong Excel, Microsoft Office suite, and Windows skills.
Current knowledge of US accounting and auditing regulations and accounting policies and practices.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
CPA or equivalent training is a plus.
