Title: Assistant Data Analyst

Job Description:

We are looking for a passionate, collaborative, and adaptable Assistant Analyst to join our team. The Analytics group (Redbox) is passionate about data analysis, measurement, and storytelling. We are nimble and scrappy, employing multiple traditional and non-traditional methods and data sources to tackle consumer insights, audience exploration, brand health, competitive analysis, media attribution, media accountability, data dashboarding and advanced modeling. We believe it is important to guide clients media effectiveness measurement to be holistic, capture incrementality, and focus on business outcomes (not vanity media metrics).

As an Assistant Analyst you will drive day to day analytics excellence for our clients. You will help promote data driven decision making across the agency and with our clients. You will collaborate with New Business, Strategy, and Account Teams. The agency looks to the Analytics group for direction, strategic thinking, and prowess in data science.

Please note this role requires a candidate have proximity to our NY office. We offer a hybrid work setting with employees working both onsite and from home.

You have a love of data, analysis, and creative problem solving

Are comfortable leading client conversations

Have solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking agility

Adaptable, proactive, and able to work independently or in a team setting as needed

Dont mind rolling your sleeves up for data cleansing, data visualization, and analysis

Not afraid to speak up, ask questions, share your thoughts, and listen to others

RESPONSIBILITIES

Transform raw data into engaging visuals and compelling stories. You will bring data and research to life for clients and choose the best visuals and mediums to deliver your message.

Translate clients business questions into an actionable measurement frameworks.

Generate quantitative and qualitative consumer and market research including:

Demographic, psychographic, and behavioral customer profiling

Media channel coverage, penetration, receptivity

Brand health deep dives

Competitive analysis

Help media team understand historical media performance, optimal media budget, and allocate budget across multiple media channels

REQUIREMENTS

Educational background in Statistics, Data Science, Economics, Math, Analytics or similar field.

Related ad agency intership is highly desirable

Interest in how advertising drives business growth.

A consultative and problem solving mindset.

Knowledge of statistical techniques (multivariate regression, optimization, clustering, forecasting) is nice to have.

Familiarity with programming languages is a plus (R, Python, dbt, SQL)

Salary range is $43k – $50k commensurate with experience. Compensation is determined on the skills, qualifications and tenure of the applicant.
