Title: Payroll Analyst

Location: Flex – Bogota, Colombia

The preferred candidate must have experience in payroll processing and the knowledge of payroll systems, the ability to work independently and must have a strong passion for customer service. We’re looking for someone who can take our payroll function to the next level with remote work and who will drive the charge to streamline our various international payroll processes with automation, all while maintaining compliance.

In this role you will:

 

Process the assigned LATAM monthly payrolls, including benefits and taxes, in compliance with relevant in-country legislation.

 

Be a subject matter expert in scalable processes to drive payroll improvements for both countries and other international countries while ensuring payroll compliance

 

Collaborate in efforts to evaluate and redesign payroll processes to align with HubSpot’s rapid growth and commitment to quality

 

Collaborate with teams across HR, IT, Finance and Accounting to ensure that best practices are followed and implemented.

 

Maintain the operational effectiveness of payroll process from start to finish

 

Be responsible for ensuring that monthly and annual local tax payments and compliance requirements are met, including the checks of annual year-end income tax filing.

 

Coordinate with HR to ensure payments to benefit deductions are being properly applied to employee paychecks.

 

Work with third-party providers to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing and filings.

 

Respond to employee inquiries and requests regarding payroll in a timely manner.

 

Have knowledge of internal controls, SOX documentation, audit concepts and control testing experience.

 

Process all taxable income, awards, gift cards, moving and relocation expenses etc.

 

Have the ability to own and complete complex and sensitive projects as needed.

 

The ability to quickly adapt to change in new technologies and internal processes.

 

Assist with expatriate payroll tracking and shadow payroll processing

 

Have the ability to see innovative ways to improve payroll processes and procedures.

 

Assist in developing and implementing new processes and systems for efficient payroll processing

 

Assist in new country payroll implementation, as needed.

 

 

 

 

Qualifications

 

Ideally 3+ years of payroll processing experience on the LATAM payroll processes, statutory compliance knowledge (tax, labor code, social security, pension, benefits, terminations and transfers)

 

Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) & Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification

 

Strong payroll experience with local legislation (ISR, ISN, IMSS, SUA, INFONAVIT) knowledge and understanding of HR processes and policies

 

Good working knowledge of processing payrolls within a multinational environment

 

Experience processing Equity transactions (RSU stock options, ESPP)

 

Exceptional organizational and analytical skills

 

Expatriate payroll processing would be an advantage

 

Ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines

 

Workday experience strongly preferred

 

Ability to deal with ambiguity and competing objectives in a fast-paced environment

 

Outstanding customer service skills

 

Maintain high regard for confidentiality

 

Strong knowledge of Excel, including V-lookups and pivot tables

 

Must have a European/Global mindset; sensitive to cultural diversity

 

Fluent in Business English (written and spoken)

 

Spoken Languages: English and Spanish
