About the role
We are looking for someone to be responsible for partnering with our Media Agencies and internal cross-functional teams including Creative, eCommerce, Product Marketing, and Finance to create and execute impactful Paid Media plans that deliver a connected experience along the consumer decision journey.
Responsibilities
Media Strategy & Planning:
Lead the teams and agency partners to design, strategic and thoughtful integrated media plans across a myriad of awareness-based channels (TV, CTV, Video, Social, Programmatic and Audio)
The Senior Media Manager sets the tone for how full funnel campaigns are managed daily by assuring focus on important goals and delivering appropriate resources to meet ongoing objectives
Lead daily Paid Media execution, tactical planning; optimize media mix to drive growth and meet business goals.
Identify trends and insights to maximize campaign KPIs
Assist in forecasting and management of multimillion-dollar budget
Develop new campaign strategies to drive incremental growth
Partner closely with eCommerce Team, Brand, Integrated Marketing, Product Innovation, & Agency partners to develop a holistic marketing approach that maximizes ROI of media budget and investments against a variety of business goals.
The Senior Media Manager must demonstrate a working knowledge of the media space (Traditional and Digital media preferred) and available media research and systems
Administrative:
Manage media billing
Own monthly reconciliation of media accruals vs. actual expenses that come in
Own the promotional comms strategy with agencies
Brief in create needs for Paid Media channels
Agency & Partner Management:
Manage Media Agency day to day partnership, ensuring achievement of all deliverables, quality of resources and overall relationship health
Collaborate with agency on the development and strategic application of 1st and 3rd party audiences
Drive hypothesis driven testing strategies with agency partners
Serve as key point of contact for media partners and work closely with a broader team to manage key social/digital partners (Google, Facebook, etc.).
The Senior Media Manager helps sets the working style for the group, leads the strategic direction with help from leadership, and is a marketing partner across the company
Creative Optimization:
Write creative briefs to define program objectives and KPIs, optimizing campaigns to maximize ROI
Brief creative for monthly priority stories, promotions, and evergreen (always-on) content across all Paid channels for US and UK markets
Help educate our creative team on media creative best practices by platform
Share back creative learnings and make recommendations for future campaigns
Measurement & Reporting:
Work with Analytic resources (internal and agency) to assess campaign effectiveness, identify opportunities for optimization, and provide holistic reporting on media efficiency and effectiveness to senior management
Work with Media Agency to deliver dashboard/reports that give a clear view of campaign performance, along with insights, recommendations, and next steps
Track feedback regarding the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, activities, and promotions
Requirements:
BA or BS required
Beauty industry and/or retail background strongly preferred
5 years+ of experience in performance or direct response Paid Media
Experience in optimizing Affiliate, Search, Shopping, Social and Display
A firm grasp of Web Analytics, A/B Testing, and metrics driven (performance) marketing
International experience is a plus, but not required
Highly organized and flexible with great attention to detail, a self-starter
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to think creatively, build compelling, fresh ideas with a discerning brand eye
Ability to demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Strong reporting analytical skills, both quantitative and qualitative, with strong attention to detail
Ability to synthesize complex ideas into actionable recommendations for senior executives
Intermediate level in Microsoft Excel
Creative, imaginative, and able to develop ideas quickly
Able to work in fast-paced, start-up environment and changing environment, with cross functional partners in multiple geographies, while also demonstrating calm under pressure
